Is now the time to buy in Montenegro?

Porto Montenegro is making a name for itself as the Mediterranean’s next hot luxury superyacht port and marina village. Now, with the announcement of the opening of the Regent Pool Club Residences in July 2017, it may also be the next hotspot for an investment holiday property.

Designed by Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG), an award-winning design and luxury-architecture firm, the residences are comprised of 62 lavish one- to three-bedroom homes situated on a picture-perfect location on the Adriatic with beautiful views of Boka Bay, the lavish village of Porto Montenegro, as well as the countryside and Vrmac mountain range.

The architectural inspiration of the Regent Pool Club Residences is derived from Boka Bay’s 400 years of Venetian rule and the chic Italian Riviera, blending seamlessly with the adjacent five-star hotel, Regent Porto Montenegro. WATG worked closely with world-renowned designer Tino Zervudachi and his team – behind such projects as London’s Royal Opera House and Hotel Aurelio in Lech – to capture modern-day glamour with an art-deco feel. A rich palette of natural hues – light sand to mahogany brown and olive green – have been used to complement the warm Mediterranean climate and waterfront setting.

Owners of the residences will be treated to features such as a private balcony or terrace that vaunt picturesque views, a large living area, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There will also be five top-level penthouses with private Jacuzzis. Within the residences’ extensive private gardens, an elevated 3,000-sqm pool deck will be an exclusive and peaceful retreat, and will additional feature a 26-m lap pool, an infinity pool and two children’s pools. An international restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the marina will provide full poolside and dining services, and two poolside bars will serve refreshing drinks, cocktails and snacks.

The resort and holiday atmosphere that the residences sit amid may further tempt those seeking a new holiday-home investment. In addition to benefitting from direct access to the amenities on offer at the Regent Hotel – concierge services, spa and fitness facilities, and dining – the restaurants, bars and boutiques of Porto Montenegro are just a short walk away.
